Clearly they are planning on making private sector such as CHOICE a permanent part of the VA system, if not than why is it important that the systems works with private sector systems. The more money they put into private care, the less money they put into the VA healthcare system, causing more veterans to have bad experiences, which they will use to prove that VA needs to be moved to the private sector. They don’t care about veterans, CHOICE is not about giving veterans the best care, it‘s infuriating watching them cause the failures that they will point at to dismantle VA.
Shulkin’s question is not around how well Cerner’s system would work with entities within the VA’s network, but whether it would be fully interoperable with private-sector providers offered through the VA’s Choice Program.
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking answers on how an electronic health record system developed by Cerner Corp. (Nasdaq: CERN) would work with outside providers before signing a final contract, Secretary David Shulkin told Politico.
