Supplemental claim issues

Rate this question

Question

I filed a supplemental claim after the VA screwed up my DBQ during a C&P exam for filing to increase my percentage for PTSD. The supplemental claim was closed Aug 9 with no updates yet on Ebenifits and of course I can't see anything on the decision yet. My issue is when I open the claim under the issues tab is states under the currently under review area that there's a "compensation issue". What does that mean and has anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance,

Ricky

I would think they  still can't make a decision for increase on your PTSD or rather to lower your rating or make an increase?

depends on the medical evidence you had sent in.... if a qualified DR HAS STATED YOUR PTSD symptoms have worsen  then an increase should be awarded. YOU NEED TO MEET THE RATING CRITERIA THAT FOLLOWS YOUR SYMPTOMS.

Buck52 is right on.  It all depends on what evidence you had to show them and what they now need to look at.  They may try to send you to a new DBQ.  I would print out the DBQ fill it out and bring it with you and kind of do a follow along with the doctor as they fill it out and make sure they get everything!

We probably cannot answer that question fully.  The AMA is new and we are seeing codes we have not seen before.

If you filed a favorable DBQ it should work out in your favor.  If it does not then you have the BVA.

If your supplemental claim closed August 29th I would be on the phone to the VA 1-800-827-1000 to find out the status of my claim.  You should have received your BBE already.
