Hadit.com Ownership Returns to Tbird

HadIt.com Veterans

Brothers and Sisters,

Our 28th anniversary is coming up on January 20, 2025, and I’ve got some big news to share about where HadIt.com is headed HadIt.com.

First off, our mission isn’t changing one bit. For 28 years, HadIt.com has been the place for U.S. military veterans to connect, share stories, and have each other’s backs. We’ve been there for peer support, helping with benefits, providing mental health resources, aiding in the transition to civilian life, and fighting for the issues that matter to vets. We’ve built a community where every veteran belongs, and no one has to go it alone. That will never change.

But some changes are happening in how we’re structured and funded. The nonprofit we set up to keep HadIt.com going has encountered some financial roadblocks we can’t overcome. So, I’m going to be taking back ownership of HadIt.com. I’ll put my money into it and look at other ways to fund it, like placing ads on the site. This means that any financial gifts to HadIt.com will not be tax-deductible. If you have signed up for a monthly donation, no more donations will be made starting Jan 1, 2025. Your donations have been canceled, and there should be nothing for you to do.

I want to thank those who donated to our mission; you and Rattler kept us going!

I want to give a huge shout-out to him for everything he’s done. He put in a tremendous effort and a lot of his money to get the nonprofit up and running. His dedication to HadIt.com and to serving his fellow veterans has been nothing short of inspiring. And I’m pumped to announce that Rattler will be sticking with us in a new role as Community Manager. He has a real passion for supporting veterans, and he knows this community inside and out, so he’s the perfect guy to keep the conversations going, keep things friendly, and ensure HadIt.com stays a welcoming place for all vets.

Even with these changes, I promise you that HadIt.com’s dedication to serving veterans is as rock-solid as ever. We will keep innovating and finding new ways to have your backs, just like you had ours. The need for vets to support each other is as strong as ever, and HadIt.com will always be here to answer that call.

Thank you for being part of this amazing journey. Your support, your participation, and your trust mean everything to us. “Leave No One Behind, Not On A Jungle Trail, Not On A Desert Trail, Not On A Paper Trail” ™

With deep appreciation,

Theresa M. Aldrich, Founder

VA Office Space Crisis: Layoffs, Facility Sales, and What It Means for Veterans’ Mental Health Care

There have been credible reports that VA therapists were being forced to conduct sessions in shared cubicles or “pod” setups—basically call-center style arrangements where it’s impossible to guarantee privacy. Imagine trying to talk about your PTSD or depression with other people just a few feet away. That’s not just uncomfortable—it’s a violation of the trust and confidentiality veterans deserve.
